COSCO Shipping Ports Abu Dhabi terminal throughput exceeds 5 million TEUs

COSCO SHIPPING Ports Abu Dhabi Terminal is located in the Khalifa Port of Abu Dhabi. It is jointly operated by COSCO SHIPPING Ports and Abu Dhabi Ports Authority. It opened in December 2018 and has a designed annual processing capacity. 2.5 million TEU. At present, the terminal has opened more than 20 international routes and connects more than 60 ports.

As an important project of China-UAE cooperation, COSCO Shipping Ports Abu Dhabi Terminal plays an active role in helping Khalifa Port become one of the top 50 ports in the world. In the first six months of this year, the terminal’s throughput increased by more than 35% year-on-year. In the future, the terminal will be committed to building a smart port - upgrading port automation facilities and continuing green and low-carbon emission reduction, and contributing to China-Arab cooperation in building the "Belt and Road".
