In view of the problem of limited space, designer Shi Nanqiao removed the ceiling and removed the construction waste to "find" the hidden space potential; then use thin and stable floor slabs to "save" precious floor heights; and finally use staggered floors The floor "changes" to create more space. The designer paid close attention to every detail and increased the height of the house by a full 1.35 meters, creating a comfortable environment divided into a second-floor public space in the south and a third-floor bedroom in the north.
At the same time, the designer opened a skylight on the roof, combined with the round hole and lampshade on the top of the living room to introduce light, and multi-layered the roof to greatly increase its waterproofness, stability, and heat insulation. As for the outer layer of the roof, the designer re-paved it with tiles to retain the traditional architectural style of Suzhou; sophisticated waterproofing also completely solved the moisture problem. The small building has been transformed into a warm and bright harbor, allowing the family to stop running around.

In terms of bathroom renovation, the designer adopted a dry and wet separation design, and added age-appropriate facilities such as safety armrests and safety seats to ensure the safe use of the elderly at home.
