According to the on-site visit and survey of "Ceramic Information" and "Ceramic Industry Long March", Shaanxi Province currently has 27 construction ceramics production companies, 44 various types of ceramic tile (tile) production lines, and a daily ceramic tile production capacity of 923,000 square meters.
Among them, there are 4 medium plate production lines with a daily production capacity of 78,000 square meters; 8 glazed tile (full body marble) production lines with a daily production capacity of 202,000 square meters; 13 porcelain tile production lines with a daily production capacity of 315,000 square meters; polishing There are 2 brick production lines with a daily production capacity of 45,000 square meters; 6 antique brick production lines with a daily production capacity of 109,000 square meters; 6 exterior wall tile production lines with a daily production capacity of 127,000 square meters; 2 small floor tiles and skirting lines with a daily production capacity 37,000 square meters; 2 split brick lines, with a daily production capacity of 10,000 square meters. There is one manufacturing company in Siwa with one production line and a daily production capacity of 150,000 pieces.
Shaanxi Province has a 6,000-year history of ceramic production, with many ups and downs. Entering the new century, with the entry of foreign capital from Zhejiang, Fujian and other places, the production of architectural ceramics in Shaanxi has flourished again. At present, Shaanxi's architectural ceramics enterprises are mainly concentrated in Baoji City and Weinan City, and are also scattered in Xianyang City and Yulin City.
In the past three years, there has been little overall change in Shaanxi's architectural ceramics. Compared with 2017, 6 ceramic companies exited, 1 new ceramic company was added, and 5 ceramic tile production lines were reduced.
From the perspective of product categories, the production lines and production capacity of porcelain tiles, glazed tiles, antique tiles, and polished tiles have all been reduced. Polished tiles have 2 fewer production lines and daily production capacity has decreased by 28,000 square meters compared with 2017; porcelain tiles have reduced compared with 2017. There is one less production line per year and the daily production capacity is reduced by 20,000 square meters; the glazed tiles are reduced by one production line and the daily production capacity is reduced by 20,000 square meters compared with 2017; the antique tiles are reduced by three production lines and the daily production capacity is reduced by 18,000 square meters compared with 2017 ; The exterior wall brick production line is the same as in 2017, with an increase of 11,000 square meters in production capacity; 4 new medium plate production lines and 1 split brick production line have been added. Compared with 2017, the number of roof tiles decreased by one company and one production line, and the daily production capacity decreased by 90,000 pieces.
Baoji City ·
Once planned 120 lines
Create the largest ceramic construction base in northwest China
In 2005, Baoji City issued the "Baoji Architectural Ceramics Industry Development Plan", which identified the architectural ceramics industry as one of the key supporting industries during the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, and carried out scientific planning in accordance with the ideas of industrial cluster development, striving to use It took three to eight years to build Baoji into the largest architectural ceramics production base in northwest China. Under planningIt is proposed to focus on the construction of three major ceramics industrial parks, Changqing Ceramics Industrial Park in Fengxiang County, Jinhe Ceramics Industrial Park in Jintai District, and Jiangtan Ceramics Industrial Park in Weibin District. More than 5,000 acres of land are planned to develop the architectural ceramics industry. The overall plan The investment amount is approximately 4 billion yuan. At the same time, the plan points out that by 2010, a building ceramics industrial park with 120 production lines and an annual output of 300 million square meters will be formed, making Baoji the largest building ceramics industrial base in northwest my country in the short term.
However, contrary to expectations, among the three major ceramics industrial parks in the above plan, only Jintai Ceramics Industrial Park and Weibin Jiangtan Ceramics Industrial Park each introduced a ceramic company, while Fengxiang County Changqing Ceramics Industrial Park had no traces. receive. Qianyang County, which is not included in the planning, has suddenly emerged.
Qianyang County:
Porcelain tile production base in northwest China
In 2006, Qianyang County planned a 6-square-kilometer ceramic industrial park to actively undertake the transfer of the ceramic industry in coastal areas. At that time, Shenbo Ceramics, invested by Wenzhou people, started construction. Subsequently, under the linkage effect of the Wenzhou model, more than 10 ceramics companies have settled in Qianyang, forming the largest ceramics production cluster in Shaanxi.
In the past three years, Qianyang's construction ceramics industry has not changed much overall, except that Shenbo Ceramics, which was the first to be built, stopped production and exited. Qianyang currently has 9 ceramic companies and 11 production lines, with a daily production capacity of 256,000 square meters, accounting for nearly one-third of Shaanxi's total ceramic tile production capacity. It is also the most concentrated ceramic production base in the five northwest provinces. Looking at the development of the Qianyang ceramics industry, two issues are particularly prominent.
Homogenization triggers low-price competition. Qianyang Ceramics Enterprise mainly produces porcelain tiles. Among the existing 11 production lines, there are 9 porcelain tile production lines, with a daily output of 220,000 square meters of porcelain tiles. Excessive product simplicity has caused a series of problems, among which the problem of homogeneity is the most prominent, and it has fallen into a vicious cycle of low-price competition, which has had a negative impact on the development of Qianyang's architectural ceramics industry.
Logistics and transportation issues are also a Achilles’ heel. The production costs of ceramic products for the third and fourth tier markets are similar, and the competitive basis of winning the market with price also makes logistics the key to the development and success of ceramic enterprises. The severely lagging logistics and transportation industry is likely to put enterprises at a disadvantage in the fierce market competition, thus dampening their enthusiasm for investment and development. This is also the main reason why Qianyang Ceramics industry is difficult to sustain development.
In addition to Qianyang, Baoji also has five ceramic construction companies scattered in Fufeng County, Long County, Jintai District, and Chencang District. These companies are small in scale and have small production lines, but their products are relatively rich, including antique bricks, exterior bricks, etc. Wall tiles, small floor tiles, split bricks, tiles, etc. Among them, Wanbaolong Ceramics, located in Jintai District, has built Baoji's first and only medium plate production line.
Weinan City ·
Occupying "half of the ceramic tile production capacity" in Shaanxi
Weinan is located in the eastern part of the Guanzhong Plain and is the gateway from the central and eastern regions to the northwest. Weinan architectural ceramics companies are mainly concentrated in Fuping County and Hancheng City. Currently, it has 10 ceramic construction companies with 21 production lines and a daily production capacity of 468,000 square meters, accounting for 51% of the total ceramic tile production capacity in Shaanxi Province.
Due to the continued market downturn in recent years and the increasingly severe environmental protection situation, Weinan ceramic companies are also struggling to maintain their position. Among the 10 ceramic companies, two ceramic companies, Kefa and Tenglong, have stopped production for more than a year.
Fuping County:
7 ceramic companies with 16 lines have repeatedly proposed "coal-to-gas" ceramics production
Fuping ceramics has a long history of development, but the development of architectural ceramics began around 2007. At that time, Fuping seized the opportunity of the relocation of Xianyang ceramic companies and introduced several ceramic companies to settle in, forming an industrial cluster. Currently, Fuping has 7 ceramic companies with 16 production lines, with a daily production capacity of 323,000 square meters.
In the past three years, Fuping Ceramics has had almost no changes in terms of production lines or capacity. The product categories have not changed much. Except for Huada Ceramics and Caimei Ceramics, which have renovated one medium plate production line respectively, other production lines are basically the same as three years ago. Fuping Ceramics has a complete range of categories, covering polished tiles, full-body marble tiles, exterior wall tiles, antique tiles, mid-boards, porcelain tiles, skirting lines, etc.
Faced with the increasingly severe environmental protection situation, Fuping County has repeatedly proposed that companies should switch from coal to gas. Most companies have also switched from coal to gas, but in fact they do not use natural gas and are still using coal. Local companies said that compared with other production areas, Fu Pingyuan is relatively scarce in materials, and production costs are relatively high. The price of ceramic tiles is getting lower and lower due to market competition. If natural gas is used for production, most ceramic companies will have difficulty surviving.
Hancheng City:
The goal of "100 billion green ceramic industry cluster" failed
In 2015, Hancheng began to vigorously develop the ceramic industry based on the recycling of iron ore tailings, fly ash and other industrial solid waste, and proposed the "100 billion green ceramic industry cluster", striving to build the largest ceramic production in the northwest base.
Under the circumstances at that time, Hancheng's ceramic industry planning and investment was very generous. It also visited Foshan and other places many times to attract investment, and signed dozens of ceramic projects, but few of them were actually implemented. At present, only three companies, Longfei, Tenglong and Tengli, have invested in five production lines in Hancheng. The daily production capacity is 145,000 square meters, which is far from the original planning goal.
According to analysis by industry insiders, the domestic construction and ceramics industry has serious overcapacity and no longer has the conditions and environment for large-scale expansion. Planning and building such a large-scale industrial cluster is contrary to the laws of industry development. Despite the advantages of policy support and low cost, it is extremely difficult to achieve the goal.
Sanyuan County, Xianyang City ·
"Coal to gas" triggers crisis in ceramic industry
There is only one ceramic company left in production
Xianyang is the capital of China's first feudal dynasty, the "Qin Empire", located in the hinterland of Qinchuan, 800 miles away. Xianyang's architectural ceramics industry also flourished. In the new century, due to urban expansion and development, Xianyang's architectural ceramics companies have moved to Fuping, Sanyuan and other places.
The development of the building ceramics industry in Sanyuan County started at the same time as Qianyang and Fuping, but has gradually declined in the past two years. At the time of the 2017 investigation, there were still 4 ceramic companies with 9 production lines in Sanyuan. Now only one ceramic company in Xiyuan is left with 2 production lines. Two ceramic companies have closed down and exited, and Kangmeite Ceramics has also stopped production.
According to the person in charge of the local enterprise, although the decline of Sanyuan Ceramics Enterprises is rooted in the intensification of market competition, the main reason is the "coal-to-gas" transition. In 2018, the local government issued a policy requiring all ceramic companies to switch to burning natural gas and dismantle gas generators. After the "coal-to-gas" transition, the production costs of ceramic companies doubled, swallowing up the small profit margins of ceramic companies. They were defeated in the low-price competition market in the northwest, and also triggered a development crisis in the Sanyuan ceramic industry.
Through an on-the-spot investigation of Shaanxi's construction ceramics industry, it can be found that although relatively few ceramic companies have withdrawn, the challenges they face have become increasingly severe. First, the sword of "coal-to-gas" is high. Although some ceramic companies have also carried out "coal-to-gas" in recent years, they have not actually used gas for production. As the environmental protection situation tightens, ceramic companies have always been unable to escape the change. With the fate of natural gas. Second, there is a relative lack of raw materials. Compared with Shanxi, Henan, Hebei, Shandong and other places, Shaanxi does not have high-quality ceramic raw materials, which has always been a shackle for the development of Shaanxi ceramic enterprises. Third, logistics and transportation are inconvenient and the market is squeezed. Compared with other production areas, Shaanxi's logistics industry is generally underdeveloped, which limits the long-distance sales of ceramic products to a certain extent. Coupled with the squeeze from surrounding production areas, it restricts It provides a space for development of Shaanxi’s ceramics industry.
The following is the statistics of ceramic tile (tile) production capacity in Shaanxi Province, with a total of 27 ceramic companies and 44 production lines.
